Summer Cocktail Time

With this heatwave, there's only one thing left to do: sipping from an icecold cocktail. Because we like to look after our health, I chose a (sort of) healthy variant with fresh strawberries for you. Strawberries are filled with vitamin C, vitamin B11 (folic acid), and potassium. Potassium is good against a high bloodpressure and it regulates the fluid balance, which is very important at these temperatures. It's also nice that strawberries are low in calories.

And believe me ... except that this cocktail is (quite) healthy, this frozen strawberry margarita really very tasty.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 ounces Tequila
  • 1    ounce Triple sec
  • 1    ounce lime juice
  • 1    cup ice
  • 0,5 cup fresh strawberries

  • 1 or more fresh strawberries and/or mint for garnish, a lime wedge and some salt or sugar

Preparation

Pour all the ingedients into a blender and blend it until it's smooth. Poor the content into a chilled margarita glass.

To create a salt or sugar-rimmed glass, take a lime wedge and rub the drinking surface of the glass so it is barely moist. Dip the edge of the glass into salt or sugar.

Garnish with the left strawberries and/or mint.

Cheers, have a great summer weekend!
